A Safe Place
To do
Unsafe Things

Out there we protect ourselves. In acting class we use the Meisner Technique to find a healthy place and necessary freedom to recklessly self-explore.

Driven By connection
“Class with Ted is like an emotional shower.”

The work is serious, but we call it a "play" for a reason

Ted Wold has twenty years of experience with the Meisner Technique of acting, first as a student and then as a teacher. He is a graduate of Duke University School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

In January 2020 he made his Off Broadway directing debut with a production of “Abnormal.” As an actor his most recent role was Mr. Harding in New York City Workshop production of “One Flew Over the Cukoo’s Nest.’

We learn from each other

What Students Say

"Before taking class with Ted, I lacked the confidence to walk into a room and call myself an artist... He gave me all the tools that I needed to walk into any audition and feel confident that I belonged there. "
Steven Martinez
"Ted is a one-of-a-kind human being and an exceptional teacher, and anyone who is looking to hone their craft or dive into the world of acting should jump at the opportunity to take his classes. Not only will you find yourself a better actor, but you will very likely find yourself a better human being."
Jessica Hyun
"Ted never failed to kindly meet me where I was at all times. The class environment he creates is supportive, inclusive, and community-based. ...Thank you, Ted!"
Melani De Guzman
"Ted was the first teacher that ever saw me for who I am and made me feel like I was enough the first day I walked through the door. There's no ego. No competition."
